I had a delicious Sushi dinner with my best friend Glenda last night. We went to this new place that’s smacked-up against a Swiss Chalet, which for me is a conflict of interest; since I find both to be irresistible. Anyway, I don’t usually do anything after work, unless you count looking at MSN hoping someone will talk to you as “something”, so the escape from the monotony of sitting at my computer after sitting at my computer all day was nice.

New plans: 1. Buy cross trainers.

2. Do an hour workout at Gym at work instead of waiting for Kari to “finish”.

This is my contribution to the duck series that have swept the photoblogs last month. I’m a bit late on this new *fad* but here you all are!

I feel more and more compelled to hang out with dudes and do dude things. Maybe guzzling beer and banging chicks were the tall order for you and your buds when you were in high school, but I tended to hang out with girls more often; they just smelled better. Anyway, I’m definitely on the path to being super creepy, but it’s sometimes really nice just to get out with a couple of guys and leave a lot of the drama behind.

I lie, Xtina was there, so there was plenty of drama.

Man I *so* didn’t need to see The DaVinci code, but I more didn’t need to read the book, so I’m much happier having wasted a few hours watching Forest Gump run around hallucinating religious symbols and codes with Amelie while being chased by Leon the professional and running into Magneto (or Gandalf, take your pick).

I checked out the new BMV Books on Bloor Friday night, pretty swanky place. Remaindered books are okay in my, um…books. I picked up a few that I had surprisingly never read before, people I admire a great deal have recommended both American Gods, and Dune to me. I haven’t been able to properly read in a few years since I had a bit of a mental *relapse* [Read: Breakdown], but this past week I’ve been tearing up the pages and picking up two trade editions of proven contemporary classics for under $20 is okay by me.

*Edit: oh, a delightful quote from my beloved Penny Arcade today in regards to which of the big three gaming systems will come out on top:*

“Nobody knows shit. We’re pinning ethereal tails on ephemeral donkeys.”

My momma makes the bestest carrot cake in the whole world. It’s a delight to behold and, lovingly, she can produce it on demand.
