Getting home on time is a chore, and for some reason it can be extra exhilarating when Kari’s at the wheel. She tends to get impatient in traffic and creates her own route, ducking and turning down every street that randomly appears. I couldn’t tell you if it was faster, but it sure beats taking the bus.

So this is what is left of Halloween, all told, I’m a little disappointed. There was a distinct lack of effort this year put forth by all parties, however the most noticeable would have to be the teenagers; vying for the last free bits of chocolate before acne begins to pock their faces. Absolutely no effort was made to disguise their mooching. I buy the chocolate, you should have to work for it: Dance Monkeys!

Claire’s one of the researchers at work, but what’s really cool is that she lived in Japan for a while. She’s also one of the people who can put up with my shit, and for that she deserves much respect.

They’re doing some construction at the back of the hospital. Actually, they’re doing construction all over the hospital, it’s bathing in the lotion that is construction. I particularly like it when I’m in a meeting in any of the offices in the background and you just stare down into this gapping hole; I bet this guy had a part in that.
