Just a few blocks away from yesterday’s post – I was trying to see if I could get around to the dammed (damned!) up water that was gushing through on the other side. Sadly I couldn’t find my way through – maybe a wrong turn – but I didn’t get close to any action.

War Booth

Pictured, is the Candian War Museum, home of one of the worst websites ever. It’s like a geocities or angelfire free-site, put together with frames and supported by free ads.
It’s proof enough for me that socialism does not work, and pure capitalist funding is what’s needed – in an attempt to find the American equivalent, I’ve discovered that they have a museum, seemingly in every state, signifying every major (and minor) war available.
Glorifying war? Honouring the dead? Or just a cool place to show off things that make explosions?
Guard Duty

A much delayed post today – didn’t really have anything to post off my laptop, so I had to go on a roam to get a few shots. It was cold in Ottawa, but that didn’t stop me from a 3 hour hike, up into Hull (Quebec) and up the Ottawa River and back, safely onto the Ontario side of things.
I don’t know what I would have done if someone came up to me and tried to speak in French land: I probably would have had to kick them in the nuts and make a break for the river, paddling across on a flow of ice with a large branch – similar as to how to enter the U.S. from both Canada, and Mexico apparently there are no ice flows in Mexico.
Snow and Ivy

Yard cleaning has been made difficult this year. See, usually things happen progressively – the seasons change – Leaves fall from trees, people rake leaves, snow falls = winter joy.
This year, the snow fell, leaves fell on top of that, more snow came, iced over, and all I’ve got are a bunch of frozen plants stuck in my yard. Spring is going to suck for clean-up.
Coffee Time

Coffee Time is the Canadian equivalent of Dunkin’ Donuts – kinda crap coffee, large, but a bit too fried donuts. Though I will give them credit on this; their apple fritters still have real apples in them.
